As you might have noticed, it's about that time of the year again when the RSBANDB staff start to crack down on inactivity. A little over half a year ago, we launched the Judge Rotation System, and have encountered no major problems with it since. The only little issue has been that we've not had that many judges available to vote each week, as our team had to be split in half.
We now have open positions for
up to four new SOTW Judges! If you're interested in becoming one of these four, here's what you need to know.
It would probably help if you had a decent background in graphic design, or at least signature making, but it's still fine if you're just one who can spot a great sig.
There's not a great deal of work involved in being a judge, so as long as you're an active member and available for voting during weekends, you should be fine.
You will be required to keep an eye on the entry threads and moderate them (to the extent only of SOTW) if necessary. You'll have a massive advantage over others here if you show consistent maturity and have a clean record at RSBANDB.
Judges are not required, but encouraged to post their opinions on sigs, and who they vote for will only be known by themselves, unless they choose to say publicly.
Please use MSN Messenger; it's RSBANDB's instant messenger of choice. This is not mandatory, but preferred.
Confidentiality is a big part of being a judge. We need to be able to trust you not to leak any information to non-judges, no matter who they are.
There's not much else you need to know even after and if you're selected, so here's the important part.
Fill out the following form and
PM your application to me. Do NOT post it in this topic, or PM the application to anyone else.
Your real name need only be your first name, and past experience includes anything from graphic design to other judge or staff positions (whether at RSBANDB or not). Be as detailed as you can.
Availability refers to how active you are online, on the computer, or on RSBANDB. For example, if you go out partying every Friday night you're probably not going to be available on Friday or for much of Saturday.

Ideally you only need to be available to vote between Saturday and Tuesday, but the more open you are, the better.
Please post your timezone in the form of GMT+/-x: for example my timezone is GMT+12 or +12 GMT. As a New Zealander I do not have any remote understanding for timezones in any other format and do not want to spend time consulting other members to convert them for me, sorry.

Why would you make a good SOTW Judge?
New judges will be selected by existing judges based on these applications and forum records. Your applications will only be visible to the judges, and will remain confidential between them.
Post here if you have any questions or comments, otherwise get your applications in to me.
The closing date for applications is 12am on the night of Monday 11th of August (GMT). If your application is in late, it won't be counted. This topic may remain open slightly longer, until I'm around to lock it up.
