Hello,

I live in an pretty nice sized loft apartment with 4 of my buddies at college, we are all huge NHL fans and last season payed almost $300 for NHL Center Ice Pass for all the out of market games on our tv. For $79 on the NHL App on my Ipad i can get the same exact thing, every game, every night on my ipad. My question is what is the best way to play my Ipad through my TV. We have a 60' inch plasma with HDMI ports and USB ports, suggestions?

The easiest way to do this is with the iPad 2 or 3 and the official AV adapter

There *might* be a way to do it via jailbreaking, but honestly I've never tried. It'd probably be worth it in this case to just buy the official accessory.

Here's the adapter Paul was talking about: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE

You can use that for an iPad 2 or iPad 3. The easiest option is if you have an Apple TV, you can just use Air Play for the same iPad 2 or iPad 3. If it's a first gen iPad you're out of luck.

If he is using the first gen iPad he should jailbreak and play around with the awesome tweaks that circumvent Apple's draconian restrictions. For example: (I can mirror my original iPad thanks to a root filesystem)

I was looking at Apple TV but my worry was between airplay streaming and my Ipad on wifi do you think there would be lag in the game?

Any type of broadband connection should be fine providing it's decently fast. How fast is your downstream speed?
