What do y'all think of the new features included in OS 4.0? Are you happy with them?

I never understood why the regular iPhone couldn't handle multitasking. If a Blackberry could then I'm sure an iPhone could >.> Knowing Steve Jobs though, he'll say he invented multitasking.

If regular = iPhone 1st gen and iPhone 3G, it's because they only have 128 mb of RAM while the 3GS has 256.

If you've got an older iPod touch and you haven't jailbroken it yet, do it when this comes out and you'll get pretty much all of the features. Add a few custom features, and you'll get more functionality than 4.0 offers, not that you can install 4.0 on an older iPod touch anyway.

As for the folks who are against jailbraking for whatever reason, go with 4.0. You'll get the features all of us jailbroken folks have had for quite some time at this point, except now it's vetted by Apple. Looks like the battery life might be a bit better too, though multitasking never helps battery life..

It's nice that they're upgrading the features, though having limited multitasking hasn't been too bad up till now. Older devices can't handle it too well, so it's no surprise they're not getting this update.

It seems the biggest "update" is multi-tasking- a feature present on dozens of phone OS already. When they came out with copy & paste they somehow had the audacity to market it as a major technical advancement, which it really wasn't. I have a suspicious feeling that they're going to do exactly the same thing again.
