AVI to GIF converter

I have an Imac and I want to be able to make movie clips into GIF animations. I am having a really hard time finding a free program that will do it for me. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I have not even looked at it, but DIVX converter can convert all kinda of files so you might wanna look into it. I use it to convert .AVI files into MP4

VidGif is good. I use it myself.

Don't tell anyone but I hacked a full version.
