That is mounting software. You need to get an image of your CD(s). Do you have MSN?

Also remember it is illegal to do so unless you own the game.

If you bought your games legally, making a backup for your own use is not illegal. You can make disc images with.. I think it's the Nero suite that allows you to do it.

Yep.. most CD burning, or in this case copying, applications should allow you to record to an "Image Recorder" which will create your CD Image on the hard drive instead of actually copying to a CD or another drive. Just keep in mind that a lot of games and other CDs have copy protection nowadays, so you may encounter some difficulty trying to obtain images of the CDs using the normal image creation process. I think I've had Nero fail on me for this quite a lot, while programs like Alcohol give you some advanced options which usually enable you to bypass the copy protection. I'm not sure if it's actually legal to bypass that copy protection, but as long as you're only using it to make a backup then no one's going to make a fuss about it. :P

Look for "No CD crack (game name here)" on Google. People make new .exe's for programs that make the program think that you've got the disk in your computer, saving you from having the CD at all. The reason I tend to choose this method over a direct .iso + mounting is that it saves 4-8 GB of data for each game. Not sure of the legality, but I don't mind doing it since I tend to own most of my games.
