Yep.. most CD burning, or in this case copying, applications should allow you to record to an "Image Recorder" which will create your CD Image on the hard drive instead of actually copying to a CD or another drive. Just keep in mind that a lot of games and other CDs have copy protection nowadays, so you may encounter some difficulty trying to obtain images of the CDs using the normal image creation process. I think I've had Nero fail on me for this quite a lot, while programs like Alcohol give you some advanced options which usually enable you to bypass the copy protection. I'm not sure if it's actually legal to bypass that copy protection, but as long as you're only using it to make a backup then no one's going to make a fuss about it.
