What do you look for in a podcast?

Content. If I want funny stuff I'll goto youtube and find something visual there. All of the podcasts I listen to have a general purpose content theme.

Of course you get the once in a blue moon things... such as the time when Leo's exercise ball popped during TWiT 98.

I remember that! Then again, Dvorak tends to bring some comedy in just being himself...

Content is always what I value when I look for podcasts. Sure, humor is great and it's rare to find a podcast without any, but if there's no content to the podcast, it will lose purpose quite quickly.

I agree, you need a bit of both. For me, Diggnation is a LITTLE overboard (but I listen to it anyway), while TWiT is just perfect. You have good content with a little joking on the side.
