Yes. They've released it an hour ago accordingly, apparently after five years.
You can download it here.

You must have a "genuine" copy of Windows to download and install it currently, else wise, you would have to wait until the next Windows Update, probably November 1st, to get it as a high priority update.

Anyways, it'll be really interesting to see if this release will actually make it, or will it be another exploder ?

The "better clarity" is because of Microsoft Cleartype, which basically just makes fonts smoother.

IE7 is not good. It would have been good 18 months ago, before the firefox revolution; but its still just an attempt to catch up to FF and Opera's features. And it has failed. The only differences between IE7 and 6 are tabbed browsing, a different interface and a phishing filter. Thats really it.

Firefox and Opera are still extendible, while IE is not. Firefox and Opera are still quite a bit faster than IE. When it comes to user-friendliness for the average idiot, IE probably wins, but when it comes to user-friendliness for everyone else, Opera and Firefox jointly blow IE out of the water.

And still, IE7 is not standards compliant. Firefox, backed by its large developer base; and Opera, backed by its uber programmers (including the man who invented CSS) are still pwning the *** out of IE, and will continue doing so. MS still try to force its own HTML systems upon the web, and for a while it worked; but now, it just isnt. Web developers the world over think IE is a joke, and spend ages trying to get their websites working in it.

IE is rubbish, and will continue being rubbish throughout every version of it. Firefox and Opera are gaining in userbase as more and more people see the advantages of superior web browsers.

Ideally, i would like to see IE just die. Whether this will happen or not, i dont know; but it would certainly be nice.

Vista RC2 was available for about a week, but has now been taken down. I got it during that week :D

You'll just have to get RC1 if you didnt download RC2.

Well I downloaded it today, and it messed up my computer totally. I get an error after a restart and my explorer.exe is screwed. Luckily, I could use the Task Manager to open up Firefox and find a solution.

Now I have my IE 7 without the standard top bar, the toolbar with files, view, etc, and I am not taking any chance to reinstall it again.

Sorry, I am going to have to dissagree with something. Here is what and why.
It is not that IE is not made properly, so dont say that. They have some of the best comouter programmers working to make it. The problem is that IE is the most used web browser out there right now. Mostly people who don tknow woputers out there that use it. for this reson the people who do exploite IE have all the stuff that, when you click on it auto-downloads stuff to people's computers, and massive add-on's to IE.
Also hackers/worm makers/virus makers send more stuff to IE since more people use it, mroe school's use it, andmost buissness use it. Also it come spre-loaded on MS OS so they know it will be on there.
Really it is just a matter that the hackers wants to get as many peiople as possible so they us IE, also since mroe people are trying to pur viruse's and exploite IE other hacker's feel the need to out-perform other hackers.

Actually, for your information, there are ways to build a browser that can't be easily exploited. Within the official release of I.E. 7, several vulnerabilites have been found.

I don't have an LCD so the cleartype looks horrible to me.

I'll stick with Firefox for now. Though the tabbed browsing is nice, I already have that with FF, kthxbai.
