What's Spyware?

Forgive me for being a noob, but what does spyware do to your computer? What is it exactly? Thanks.

Any software that covertly gathers user information through the user's Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers. Also called adware.

spyware is a malicious program intended to try and steal information from

a person's computer via internet or any other means neccesary. If left

untreated, it will lead to the infection of your computer and other

information might be disclosed to other people that have gained access to

your computers mainframe.

you really need to act quickly to get rid of the spy ware that is on ur

computer or the above may happen.

If you haven't done so, i highly reccomend going to or http://www.trendmicro.com

and follow the propmts to have ur computer checked and cleaned of any

possible spyware programs that may be o n ur computer.

Um..... No buddy, Spyware is legal...stupid, but legal...
