What you want

^--bundles are cheaper, hopefully this will suit your needs, if u would expand your mind from a brand you could find alot better then amd.I do suggest sticking with ASUS motherboards, there the best, i currently run a ASUS P5S800-vm model and it works wonderfull, and i also have a intel cpu.But since u dont want intel that bundle will work well.

Here's something that should be in your price range
Motherboard - $79 This will offer LOTS of future expansion. I have this and I have not used up the other PCI-E slots or Ram slots. So good for the future.

CPU - AMD 64 3800+ - $147.99 - A single core 64 bit 3800 CPU. Pretty good.

Total $226, $5 more than the other recomendation but you get a better CPU and motherboard.

What type of video card do you have? Also how much ram and what type is it?
