I do not see dying technologies as a bad thing. They are just being surpassed by something that is now better.

Here's another thing to add to your list.

3. Floppy Disks - Replaced by CDs and USB Flash Drives

But if you think about it, the 3.5 inch floppy disk replaced the 5.25 inch floppy disk, and the 5.25 replaced the 8 inch one. All that is happening is technology is evolving, becoming better.

There is a new technology that is already in development that will surpass Blu-ray and HD DVD. CD-sized media that can hold a maximum of 1.2TB, rather than the maximum of 50GB of Blu-ray. MIT have developed 2nm transistors that could be used in processors, when Intel have only just started work on 45nm ones.

Dead technology is the result of advances in new technology, and almost all of these advances are good. In this constantly progressing society, there are going to be things that are left behind.

Only thing that I see Dying is the Nintendo (NES), no one seems to have that but me. If CD players were dying, why do cars still have it? And if VHS was dying, why are they still selling it in stores?
