I made a movie on windows movie maker, how to i make it so that it saves as .wmv, and not the default Windows Movie Maker?
I made a clan video for my clan and I need to know which extentions go onto youtube.

When you open the project, hit file then hit "save movie file". That should save it as a .wmv

I thought you were supposed to export the movie by going to file --> publish...

I think thats if you just want to directly upload it to one of the preset hosts. If he wants to upload it to youtube he will have to save it as a .wmv

If you "save as" then you only get the windows movie maker file option lol!! Publish can mean to this computer (as a file, any format ie wmv, avi, mpeg etc) or to a CD, the internet etc.

no, you need to open the project hit file > save movie file > save to my computer > give it a name and select folder then hit next > then let it save.
