Well I've had a couple of other Goals and Accomplishments topics before but I always forgot to update those. But I thought I would give it another try with all the new elements we have on this forum. It should be easier for me to maintain my goals.

So in this topic you will find my goals I have for the year 2008. I'm already starting on them so I might actually complete a part of them in 2007. I will hide every goal so that you can select just the couple ones you're interested in. I hope it will be more readable that way.

85-99 Smithing - COMPLETED!

85 Smithing[color=#40FF00] - COMPLETED!
This truly has to be one of my oldest goals I've ever had. I'm finally getting 85 this time though. This time I actually made a plan that will get me to 85 Smithing. I'm still making addy bolts to get to this goal. Currently addy bars are 2400 each and bolts sell for 220-240 each so I lose little money while I get a lot of smithing experience. Especially combined with my runecrafting goal which will get me lots of money.

FINALLY MADE MY GOAL!!! See the picture below for my level. I'm working on uploading a video at the moment.

Operation Berserk - COMPLETED!
Operation Berserk
Okay I thought I was winning the SKOTM. I achieved on one particular day 1m smithing exp and I thought no-one would ever beat that amount in a month. But of course there had to be one person that messes it up. 'The exact same thing happened a year ago so it's time for me now to start operation berserk.

So what is operation berserk? It's all about experience. My goal is to get in the last 10 days of this month a total of 4m exp extra. That makes it 400k experience a day.

I hope that should get me enough experience to win this competition.

Well since I achieved 85 and after 95 (see above) it's time to get 99 smithing. I'm getting closer and closer to that 99 and I started to work on a big party. It's going to be a P2P drop party so for all the F2P out there: Sorry...

85 Mining - COMPLETED!


I've started a new goal after getting 99 Smithing. And it's 85 Mining. Why? Well the reason should be that I would like to be able to make my own armor from scratch and I'd like to earn some good money with it. That's why I'm currently in the dessert mining like crazy. Hopefully I complete this goal within a month.

80+ Gathering Skills

Okay this may take some explanation. My next 99 skill will be 99 Crafting. I'm going to use sacred clay needles while training so that it will be a lot cheaper. However I don't want to spend to much time on Stealing Creation because I want to be as efficient as possible when I'm using this method. Therefor I'll be focusing on gathering clay and processing it. The only problem is: I only got 1 80+ gathering skill, which is mining. I still need to get 80 woodcutting, 80 fishing and 80 Hunter.

99 Crafting[b]


That's the newest goal I've set. I'll achieve it by making roughly 28k green d'hide bodies, of which I've already crafted 2k. I'll be using the stealing creation needles during this process just to make it a little cheaper (and more fun). So wish me luck on my 2nd 99!

[b]70/80 Summoning


The summoning familiars at low level stink so I want to get my summoning up. I'm actually aiming for 79 but 80 sounds better. So I'm going to keep myself busy with collecting charms and 2nds and then I just have to spend a ton of money and I'm 80 summoning. Simple plan eh?


Slaying 1000 Mith Dragons

Might end this sooner when I get a Dragon Full Helm or a Visage but so far 1000 Mith Dragons should be sufficient for a long log.

Method: I range these mith dragons. I use Ruby (e) and Diamond (e) to kill them. I stand next to them and protect from Melee. This way I will only get hit when he uses his mage attack but I'm wearing Black d'hide so it splashes most of the time.

Even More Dragons

I've decided to get my Mage and Ranged up so I'll be maging and ranging metal dragons. In particular the Steel Dragons. I'll be keeping a log for them just like the mithril dragons. But expect a bigger table sooner since these are much easier to kill then those mithril dragons.

Method:
Mage - I bring full Ahrim + godcape and chaos gauntlets and I'll be using Fire Bolts to kill the dragons.
Ranged = I bring full Black d'hide + ava's accumulator and I'll be using Mith Bolts and enchanted Emerald Bolts.

100 level 3 Treasure Trails
Why? Because I like doing clues, and some extra cash is never bad. I'm going to get them from either Hellhounds by ranging them, or from abberant spectres/jellies by meleeing them.

awesome goals south! and its even better to see that you are actually achieving them unlike some ppl who set goals and then disregard them when they get bored of them. ive always had a goal to get really high smithing. maybe ill use your technique. thank you for the inspiration and keep up the good work! :D

Yeah I'm not sure about my Blue Dragon Goal. I think I've switched some numbers while I was calculating how long it would take me. I'm just going for the 1k Mith Dragon goal and if I ever get one of his 2 special drops I'll buy the stuff I need.

quite a few goals to accomplish, but i think youll be able to do it. :) just a question, at the beginning of the month do you just sit down and plan your entire month? such as making money and gaining levels?

Yeah I removed the Blue Dragon Goal. It takes way to much time. I roughly kill 1 dragon a minute (including traveling time). I don't want to spent 80+ hours there.

I did start recording my Clues. Not so good so far but it will get better. I hope...
