I've looked at a lot of tutorials, yet none seem to really help me make sigs that look somewhat decent. Any advice?

Oh and I only have Photoshop 2, so most of the tutorials I've looked at have these one or two steps that I can't do because PS2 doesn't have the option :? Would it be better to get GIMP or stick with PS2?

I've never used PS2 so I'm not sure how many tutorials are out there for it, but I would definately recommend GIMP. You can find plenty of tutorials for GIMP here.

As for the sigs. The first doesn't seem to have anything bad with it but at the same time it doesn't stand out to me much.
I don't particularly like the way the second one is all one colour, maybe keep Link's original colours and try some blending methods with him.
