Rune Beast has decided to try his hand at sigmaking.

Those were some of the comments from my first attempt at butchering art. Before I knew what a brush was and how I got them. But now, I'm back with a vengeance. Well, a nooby one. I figured that since more people have been entering SOTW and attempting to get better in graphics, that I would get up the courage to pick up my GIMP brushes (this time, they were actual brushes.) and try again. This time, with more success.

This thread is the thread where I will post my sigs, and you guys will see if I am improving at ALL. Because if I still stink as badly as I do now after quite a bit of practice, I may just stick to keeping my sigs in my Photobucket account and Graphics Trader, where people aren't so critical. You may or may not have noticed that my very first attempts were in there, not including the thread where I got the quotes from Creepy and MQ Looking back at them I, even as the artist, feel like saying, "wtf?".

So, let's start off with one I stuck in the SOTW, just for kicks, even though some wonderful and acclaimed graphics artists have entered as well. And Game Freak's made me smile :p

I saw this (you entered in the SOTW, right?) and I thought it was pretty good. I like the split between light and dark since it goes with the plot of Prince of Persia. It just looks really good.

However, the text is really bland and the transition from teal to orange should look faded, not rigid. I know that the render almost completely blocks the transition between the two colours, but if you look above his head there is a rigid line. Try to blend it using the smudge tool and spice up the text. Also, a better border might look good Nice job.

Thanks for your comments, MQ, I will try to work on that light-to-dark transition the next time I make a sig. Maniacks, I honestly was not seeing that coming :O Thanks.
