A new skin

It would be nice if RSBANDB could get a new skin such as green, orange, blue, rather then the plain and normal bits and bytes skin of pure black. Then, with a new skin, RSBANDB might look a lot more nicer in terms of quality and appearance. But hey, if RSBANDB can't do it, it doesn't bother me, I'm suggesting that a new skin would be nice for the forums or website page.

Pretty sure when we upgrade our forums we'll have some extra skins. I actually like this black skin and would hate to see it go.

I asked Shane if we would get theme color options when the new PHPBB or whatever it's called comes out, never messaged me back though.

If we do get options mines staying black, goes nice with the white text.

I think we have to wait for Phpbb 3 to come out or something. This has been suggested many of times. I like the black but it would be nice to have other options.

Don't flame me please, but it would be good if it was like RuneHQ, where you had a variety of different colours that went well with the black background. However I am perfectly fine with black

New skins could make it hard to enforce the no using dark font colours rule, you would have to accommodate for each skin. Unless you eliminate the use of the color tag, and have a default colour for each skin only. I think it's better if everybody had the same skin. It's not like this one sucks. :wink:

That's why you would want to stick with dark colored skins, such as dark grey, or dark blue. But I don't think there needs to be a different skin. I'm satisfied with how it is at the moment.

PHPBB3 will be released soon, and Shane has assured me that when it is released, he will use a new skin for B&B.

I actually made him one with the help of Matt. Dunno if he'll use it, though.

I hope they always keep the black. That's one of the main reasons I liked rsbandb to start :lol:

HEY LUCY! long time!

anyways, i do remember Shane or Mike saying that there will probably be new skins when the new phpbb comes out, but its pointless to make a new skin just to have to modify it in a few months when the new version comes out

Not many other sites have a pure black theme.

My suggestion isn't about changing the whole skin entirely. I'm suggesting that there should be like a skin options button somewhere around the forum so we could decide what kind of skin we would like when we are posting. So really I am not suggesting that we should take out this skin and replacing it with another. I'm just suggesting to make other options for skins.
