Ok, I want everybody to tell 10 people about rsbandb.

I want there to be atleast 1000 members in 2 months.

If we all tell 10 people and at least 5 of the sing up, and at least 2 of them stay with the site we can increase the amount of people here a lot!

He's trying to help this site out and gain it members. Don't meet it with such negative feedback when all he's trying to do is help the site become more populer.

Sounds like a good idea, it could pull in some more members.

I'm trying to get my brothers and friends irl (who still play rs) to come here instead of rhq, but other than that I dont think I could get anyone else

That would be good. I have some friends I might be able to come to the site. I don't know if they will be active though.

One thing to notice is how many users register daily as it is. Look at it in the morning, then when you go to sleep it has probably gone up atleast 100. Not a lot of those are active users, but still there are tons of people registering.

I don't see anything wrong with asking people to join, so long as you make sure they can contribute positively. I guess that's why I like smaller communities.

Ok... here the problem, most online communities have a rule that you can't advertise other sites (This includes Rsbandb) so it will be a lot harder...

Well, my survey in the sandbox has prooved that rsbandb is mainly used for the calculators and stat sigs. Perhaps if we kept the calculators to this site and not let others use them, we would attract more users. Since we obviously have the best

The design of the site is much better than other fansites, imo, and so all we need would be to make sure WE have something that is better than the rest of them.

For example, rhq has the databases and guides, tip.it was the first - (doesn't make a difference to me but to some it does), rsc has a lot of clan support, and so on..

A lot of people find out about RSbandB because of the calcs being on Runehq. Removing them from Runehq would most likely hurt us more than help.

Thats not how I see it. A lot of people know 'our' calculators are on runehq, so why should they some here for the calcs if theyre on rhq? Take them away and theyll have no choice but to come here, or to use the rubbish ones rhq has. But come on.. lol.

The calculators are rsbandb's speciality. They look good, theyre easy to understand, they can take info from highscores. As far as I know, rhq ones dont do that, why give them such a great thing when we get nothing in return? o.0

If they take them away, no one will know that these ones even exist anymore. And the ones at Runehq are manageable to the extent that a person won't be googling 'runescape calculators'.

I agree with Anubis, why would we give RSBAND's calculators, by making RHQ removing calculators more people would wnat to check out RSBANDB, because it would be one of the sites which hsa the best calculators around and a lot of people use them.
