Umm, okay... why is it needed to be prompted to change your password 700 days before it expires..?

i'm all up for planning ahead but wow, thats two years...

This has been happening to me the last 3 days too. I wonder why it does this?

I don't think I've even played for 2 years.

But I always change my password. So I'm not too worried.

Yes, that's a security feature we have on the forums. I don't exactly know what it does though.

XD

Let's wait for Mike or Shane to give an answer.

its for forums, and I can fully understand the purpose of such things, my college has the same system, only.. much much more frequently than 2 years. hehe.

This is a forum mod I installed that prevents people from having really simple passwords, and it locks people out of their account for a while for entering the wrong password too many times to prevent people from guessing your password.

Another feature of the mod happens to be that it will force you to change your password after 2 years, and I didn't remove that part of the mod because it sounds ok to me, people should be changing their password more often than that anyways.

I think you need to remember it's only every 2 years. ;) I think it's a perfectly fine idea...and besides. There's nothing stopping you from changing it. Then changing it back. :P
