Post Points & RsbandB Shop.

I was just thinking that the site could give points for making a post that could be listed under your post count like 5 points for every post. Then there would be a RsbandB Shop where you can spend your points on various items like changing your user name, like having your user name glow or in diffrent colors, sigs and avvys, inside the shop you can also steal points from another player but if you fail you lose points, things like that, post if you like and if you don't like it or have suggestion.

This idea has come up before but was decided that it was not going to be done. Then we would have people making extra spam for the staff to deal with in order to get more points. Which is not good...

Spamming for points, way too much bells and whistles (glowing usernames?), too complicated...

Having member titles converted to an image was enough for me.

Liking the idea of a points system, and a shop to spend them in. But stealling points? Seems a bit silly, I mean, a user with 0 points could easily steal everyones points couldnt they?

- Why not get points based on how useful your post was? If your post was useful, another person could give you between 1 and 5 points for it?

Deciding how "useful" a post is would still cause spam. Probably mroe spam.

If you spammed you wouldnt get points.
You wouldnt be able to give or recieve points in the forums where post count doesnt work.
You would only be able to give a post points once.

How would they know who voted? it could be anonymous and this isnt the official forums, people flame a lot less here

You can only steal the amount of points that you have and if you fail you lose them all ehich means you have to make posts to get more.

And that's the problem: you have to make posts to get more. That would increase the amount of spam.
