Birthday Status

So, I think this might have been brought up before, not sure.

But I think that the day it's a persons birthday, they should have a birthday status.

It would be a nice, fun thing to do.

As nice of an idea it is i wonder if the minority would spoil it by abusing it.

See, thats what I was wondering about... Is there a way to "lock" in a user birthday so they cant keep changing it?

This is a neat idea but I don't think it will happen because it would need to be hard coded into the rank system.

Yeah that would be pretty cool
and have their name up as a differnt color
examples Cyan is mod, green for owner, dark blue for donor
just to let you guys know what I mean
Maybe Orange for Birthday people
dont think there is a orange group

edit: admins are orange

This idea is a little too much. It would require tying in the birthday system with the rank system. I worry with this people would set their birthday to an arbitrary day that they want some extra attention. There would be no real way enforce who has a real birthday or not on any given day.

Not to mention that each extra code addon makes it more difficult for us to upgrade later on.

So I don't think this will be happening. The birthday notice at the bottom and a topic in the welcoming area should suffice.
