Haha, yeah, I thought that.

Dunno, though. I might use it, provided people weren't morons and kept talking and spamming.

And we might end up having to put up with squeakers (don't click if you're offended by swearing). Unless there was some kind of age restriction or something.

Lol at squeakers.

I'd drop in every so often probably. I have both vent and ts, so whichever works for me.

I personally have bad experiences with both Ventrilo and TS, so meh. What would be the point anyways, it's not like we really need it because RSBANDB doesn't exactly do any real-time actiony events that require more than the regular chat room RS provides.

Well it would mainly be just for chatting, doesn't have to be related to Runescape. There's also the possibility of some recordings being integrated into Rsbandb Update? *throws more empty beer bottles at Shane*

Teamspeak is just fine.

I think if the main purpose is just for chatting, you run a really high risk of having a lot of spamming and not much added. I think the end result would be closer to a zoo than anything worthwhile...

But what did such a Teuton afterwards look like when he had been "improved" and led into a monastery? Like a caricature of a human being, like an abortion: he had become a "sinner," he was in a cage, one had imprisoned him behind nothing but sheer terrifying concepts... There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. In short, a "Christian"... - Twighlight of the Idols

I'm not familiar with either Ventrillo or TeamSpeak. How exactly do they work and do you need some sort of headset?

You simply download the respective software ( http://www.ventrilo.com / http://www.teamspeak.com ) for free and then connect to a server with the information you are provided. You will need a headset or microphone.

Do you think an XBL Headset would work?

Nope don't think so, you'd need a headset with either split in/out plugs, or a USB connection. The XBL one seems to be combined.

I suppose this would be at least interesting to try..I usually only talk to people I know from real life online, but whatever..Not like you'll find out anything interesting

The only thing about TeamSpeak (dunno about Ventrilo..Never tried it that much), you have one central IP address which is your server. Once this is out, anyone can go on provided they have a password...For anyone who doesn't see the problems, just imagine a bunch of Chinese gold farmers coming on the server saying "You buy game gold!? China rule, USA no." and other random things..

At any rate, the password would have to be changed quite often, and possibly guarded by something on-site that requires 50+ posts or so to be able to see.

I think it would be a good idea. I'm willing to give it a try.

There's always ways to combat the spammers, such as crashing their computers (very easy to do with TeamSpeak - Don't ask). If nothing else works, join a Korean or a Chinese server and start yelling at them. If nothing else, it's pointlessly amusing
