In 2006 when RSBandB was still relatively young we had the idea to create a new type of signature, a signature that would be defined by the user who created it. The web technology didn't exist yet, we would've had to use something ugly like a Java Applet or Flash based application. The idea for this project went dormant until last year.
Last year Chief Snake came to us and suggested something similar. This was entirely possible with the advancement of the web technologies we use. That's what we're releasing today. A signature system that allows for a great deal of customization, making your signature truly personal.
Here's a sample:
You can create your own here:
http://www.rsbandb.com/runescape-personal-signaturesDuring the signature creation process you can choose your signature layout, background, character image, fonts, and colours for your fonts. Feel free to experiment with your settings. If you find a colour scheme you use often you can save it for future use if you're logged into the forums.
This project was designed and implemented by Chief Snake before being turned over to us to integrate with our systems last month. We hope that you'll be able to find a signature that truly fits who you are. This is what #ShanesPictures on RuneWire was primarily for as well as updating the images our competition signatures use. We're also willing to take on new signature layouts and backgrounds submitted by you!
If you're an artist and have an idea please do send us some backgrounds and an icon layout or three. For more information on how to do this please
send me a message. As of today we have three layouts (original P2P, F2P, and skiller) with a selection of backgrounds to choose from as well as an impressive selection of character images. You're also able to submit character images, more information will be made available on how to do this in the coming days.
Once again we hope you enjoy this new type of signature. We also should say thank you to everyone who submitted images for #ShanesPictures. Thanks also go to the content crew for cutting out these images. Of course once again the biggest thanks you must go out to Chief Snake for creating this impressive tool!
Thanks Brad
