4 years ago today on August 6, 2004 RSBandB was officially launched. From this point onward we pledged to "[Make] Runescape History Bit By Bit". I can say that we have succeeded at this in our first 4 years. I am going to explain a little bit about the early beginnings of RSBandB and give you guys some insight as to what it was like back then.
The idea of RSBandB started at the end of June that same year when Mike originally made the first version of some calculators. They were initially to help him on Runescape. Later on in July he created a dynamic stat signature for him to use on other Runescape fansites.

In late July it came to me that we should start up a website for these two services. RSBandB was the first to offer a dynamic stat signature creation service, with multiple designs and significantly innovated on the calculators that were available to the Runescape community at that time.
RSBandB was officially on August 6th 2004. It didn't take long, on August 10th we bought http://www.rsbandb.com
due to a circumstance in which our free hosting provider was not delivering an acceptable quality of service. The forums were then launched in early September and the rest is history.
Here are some screenshots of what RSBandB looked like when we started:
Here are some of the features that we have innovated on in the past 4 years:
- RS Skill Calculators
- RS Dynamic Stat Signatures
with multiple designs and the ability to enter in stats not on the Runescape highscores.
- Goal Signatures
- Interactive Map
- Community High Scores
Finally, we'd like to thank everyone involved in the site over the past 4 years, especially those who were our earliest forum members and moderators. I can say that now that the content crew has been created we are on the precipice of many great enhancements to RSBandB. I encourage everyone to remember RSBandB as it is now and take a look at it at this time next year and notice the magnificent changes that will occur.
With that said here's to the start of year 5.
