If there not active they will be removed over time.

You don't play RS.

My point being they should be active by RSBANDB standards.

Eh, i feel the same way. It seems a lot of these people spammed posts so they could get into the highscores, but unless they remain active over an unknown amount of time they'll be pruned eventually. Just wait it out like I have to. :(

Well how do you know what rsbandbs activity standards are?

Just because people don't post doesn't mean there not active on site and the likes.

There is no problem, if they go inactive they get removed. Over time the active members by our "standards" will be the only ones on there. If those above yo uwish to stay there then they will stay active.

I've said it before this isn't a private club it's a community and just because we've got some new guys hsowing up doesn't mean they should be excluded, not if there going to be active in the future.

I think most of have a pretty good idea of what we consider active.

I think you have to have a certain postcount/activity to be on the site. Meaning you can't make an account and be shown on the high scores.

I never said there was, I was just saying how annoying it is for people who visit once in a blue moon to be on the hiscores.

I'll work on adding a few of the suggestions that were mentioned in this topic.

As for newer members showing up on the high scores right away, well the current requirements for being on them are not final yet. I might think of revising them. I can't see the requirements changing all that much though. Currently someone must have been a member of the forums for at least 2 months before they appear on them as well as being at least a steel member.

Maybe adding a group for the more active members or something, I don't know how that would work though.

I think the current requirement of 2 months and 30+ posts is fine, and it should not be changed. Even more posts would not be bad, though requiring posts usually creates quite a bit of spam. The only problem with the current setup is that someone can become a steel member, and wait two months to be on the hiscores, then never post again. All they would have to do is check in every few months and post 1 thread to keep the account active.

For the active group, you could just pick the top 50 or so posters that are recognized as being worthy of the extra credit. This could increase the intelligent posts, helping everyone :D

Making a top 50 posters group would probably increase the spam.

I think it should be done by a +3 postcount/day ratio, as well being an addy member and have at least posted within the last 6 weeks. As well as being a member for at least 2 months.

I think a 3+ post a day average is a little to much. I mean I, shane and mike wouldn't appear on the highscores then. And probably a lot of other people.

All it needs imo is inactive checks every 2 weeks. If someone on the highscores hasn't posted within 2 weeks, they get removed from it. We shouldn't be excludiing new members from the highscores but we should make sure there active new members.

It is interesting that if you go to the High Scores, and look at the average levels for each group of people the lower you go the tendency is that the average exp raises. This leads me to believe that higher level people are joining the site to show off their stats, and don't post to be in the community :?

There is a dip in overall experience at Mithril, then it does begin to increase.
