I use the prayer, fishing, and cooking urns. The 20% bonus xp is worth it for an extra few clicks while cooking and fishing. When I have the level for a pack yak, I would no longer use the prayer urns for monsters that drop infernal ashes and instead bank those.
I've never used the smelting urn because I usually don't smelt any metals besides gold, which the urns don't work for. I suppose it's because when you do gold you are just "melting" it, not "smelting".
The mining urn is completely useless unless you are power-mining and dropping your ore. I did use some of these before I got the level for the living rock caverns.
The woodcutting urn is the most useless out of them. The only thing worth chopping is ivy and the urns do not work with ivy.

Usually prayer, as it acts as a bonecrusher for ashes (a little bonus, too). Otherwise, whenever I get to it, I also bring 2 or 3 with me to the concentrated coal rocks just for that little extra boost. I dare say it is somewhat worth it, as I don't stay down there very long before I get bored.
If I could use them to smelt gold, I'd totally do that too ...

I use strong cooking and fishing urns on a regular basis. The extra experience is worth the one or two inventory spaces I lose.

I use all urns except the smiting one's, since I rarely do any smelting other than gold. It's totally worth it, as long as you make the urns yourself and don't buy them. It's a nice little extra bit of bonus xp which can add up over time. I especially love the prayer urns. It's nice getting prayer xp from greater demons or other ash droppers now.

Although they only recently came out... I kind of forget about them... I have over 100 woodcutting urns to use... But I always forget about them
