Are monkfish and sharks the same money per hour?

I have 17.7m fishing xp and I've been experimenting with sharks and monks. For sure monks are the best xp but I can't figure out if the money is the same per hour. Does anyone know?

Sharks seem to be more profitable per hour.

Keep in mind: Base prices have changed since that post.

I had tested this a wile back (last summer) and sharks were more profitable. However the xp is a big tradeoff. Seeing as you have 99 though, maybe your not worried about it.

I'd still stick to monks if I were you. I just like seeing xp go up fast

I think that depends on the fishing level.
Since Brad and topaz have 99 fishing, and rice 85 (i think?

), I guess they get more profit. However with 80- fishing level, I'm guessing Monkfish are way faster exp and Money.

I don't know the exact amount, but am almost certain sharks make more money than monks at 99. I thought someone said they can fish 250 sharks per hour ? Monks are only like 600 or so per hour.
