I've been working on lvl 42 Moss Giants in the Varrock Giant - always have had a sort of partiality towards them. As a lvl 103, I always seem to annoy the lower (read: 40-102) levels who try to train there too.

What's yours? Maybe I can get some good ideas to switch to! :P

The level 83 Soldier Roaches they are found in The Player Security mini guest thingy. It has 93 Hitpoints I think and It's Double combat if the bothers you, I don't know. It should be fine. With food you can last for awhile, good xp.

I'd say the fastest xp in F2P is the level 50 spiders in the stronghold of security, but I love to train on the roaches in the stronghold of player safety because I make good money off of them.

That really depends on these possibilities:

what combat level you are
What combat leveling skill you mostly focus on
Are you a pure?
What Npc are you training on and for what reason?
Are you a "P'ker"?

For me, I have just recently made a pure ranger account (for obvious reasons, i can't divulge the username), He is lvl 30 with attack, strength, prayer, magic that are all 1 (with the tragic mistake of my defence going to 2 ). I only train my character on npc's in the stronghold of security. As i get higher and higher, i go one floor down in the stronghold, until i reach the bottom level. At that point, I will move on. At the moment i am on lvl 28 flesh eating spiders (level 2 of the stronghold).

Everybody has their own training stratagies, So go with the Npc that siuts you best.

cheers, dafin0

I agree with owen, akous are very good and will have some nice drops. Another good npc to train on are lesser demons. But if you want some real good xp you should switch to member ;)

I'll have to look up these roaches. I don't remember seeing them the last time I was here! Rune scimmys would be nice to get everyone once in a while :P

Here I will give some info.
I do not know if you completed the stronghold of player safety so I will post a full guide.

The stronghold of player safety is a new update, so when you get there, it will be rather crowded.First of all, get to Edgeville, then head south.Map of edgeville leading to stronghold of player safety. You will arrive at a small building. Now go behind and enter the jail vent (exclamation mark sign on minimap). You will now be at the jail.Talk to the guard and ask if you can go upstairs. After the conversation, read the plaques on all the jail doors. Now he'll allow you to go upstairs.Head up the stairs and talk to proffesor Henry. He will give you a test.I'm not gonna give you the answers cos it's a test! Now talk to Henry and he will reward you with a new emote!!!It's called safety first.Me doing the safety first emote. Now head downstairs and look for the room without a jail door, enter and pull off the poster on the wall. Now enter. You are now at the "cockroach tunnels"!Here there are lots of cockroach drones and muggers.don't bother killing them.walk a bit west to a ladder.Go down and walk to the opposite ladder, then go up.Now go North and up the staircase, walk a bit west and then North. You will arrive in a room with lot's of cockroach soldiers.Don't worry, they're not aggressive!Walk to the west of the room and pull the lever.Go back down and enter the jail door. Now walk down and then you will see a chest.Open it and you will get 10,000gp and security gloves!!!

cockroach soldier- they are level 83 and they have 97 hitpoints

Top drops:Rune scimitar,shield left half,teeth half key,loop half of key,dragon medium helmet,Rune square shield,clue scroll (level 3),Rune two handed sword,Dragon spear
Other:Jangerberry seed,Rune Javellin,Law runes (9-26),Watermelon seed,coins,fire rune,Mithril dagger,limpwurt seed,strawberry seed,charms,herb seeds,mushroom (1-2),Mushroom spore,chaos rune,Death rune,nature rune,blood rune,nature talisman,Spirit weed seed,Uncut gems,Mithril medium helmet,Noted adamantite ore,noted mithril ore (3)

Thanks Marking! I actually looked them up in the manual, found the "other" stronghold, and went at it! But thanks for your help, I wouldn't have known about the gloves! I just saw the roach soldiers and went at 'em :P

I would have to go with Deadly Red Spider =) I did deadly red spiders from 40 attack, strength, and defence to 50, and a little after that before I became a member.

Spiders imo is the fastest combat exp, but your going to lose money (amount depends on level). I've also heard some people say ankous are decent, and you can always kill lessers since they are still good exp.
