Is it worth going through all the trouble to grow the tree or will I have better luck just chopping down the ones that are already in Draynor?

Id say its pretty much worth it, but also i think the tree patch in Falador is closer to a bank, i may be wrong but thats the 1 ive always used.

The one at the Grand Tree village is closer to a bank. I'd say it's a good idea. And it only takes 8 hours (not entirely sure) to grow a willow so I would say to do that and in the mean time just cut at draynor.

After it's fully grown you test it out and if you don't like, well than you wasted 10k or so.

Own experience: in a max world my willow is back before I had the time to burn the log I already cut...

I think there is a quest where you get to grow a willow (the one with the hot air ballon on entrana) ... I do not remember if you get the willow during the quest or not... worth checking...

really... you're better off using that spot in the grand tree for yews or magic trees... theres a yew and magic tree right next to it, and its mega close to a bank. its the best investment you can make with that patch.

if you're cutting willows, just stick to cutting outside barbarian assault. it takes about as long to run to that bank as it does to go up the stairs and bank in the stronghold.

oh and southrend, a willow takes under 4 hours to grow.

Cooper has the right idea. With another 3 yews just slightly north, this make a resonable place to train wc for yew & magic together.
