Guthans or Dlegs+ sq keep whip?

So I have enough money for 2nd option, but for the first I need to sell whip.
My goals is to reach 100 cmb in 20 days, and I won't be using pest control. So I preffer guthan, as it helps train defence (76>80).
So which one? (guth to be used at bandits/TzHaar)

Get guthans, but you really want to keep a whip as well. :$

Yah because just training with the Spear you for one wont get as much xp as the whip because the whip is faster and hits higher. So if you can try just get some more money quick so you can keep the whip.

Well if you want to train strength, the Dragon scimitar is the probably the best idea so yeah.

Yeah, it's only a couple mil. That way you can train everything.

Yeh, the whip is much more accurate, and is cheaper =x

If you plan on doing any training where you will probably be hit, a set of Guthan along with any other weapon (whip, drag long, scim, etc) works wonders. I am able to stay pretty much wherever I please for as long as I want with this combination.

ATM I use Torag legs, torso, Dragon Scimitar, Fury, Rune Boots, Barrows Gloves, Ring of Life, Helm of Net., Rune Defender, and an Attack Cape (t) at Abyssal Demons. I stay there for as long as my potions last me, but I could last quite a while longer. I keep Guthan in my inventory, and heal when needed.

But I digress....Guthan + a Rune set with a whip/d scim is the best set up for meeleing for long periods of time.
