I have just reached 40 hunter and I tried smoking traps but I found the results no different on barb-tailed kebbits shall I test on prickly kebbits or what ?

I would say that it's worth it because in my opinion the four things that affect your hunting are:

1.The bait you use
2.Your distance from the trap
3.What you wear
4.how the trap smells[/quote]

I don't use bait or smoke the trap. Probably because I'm lazy, and the animals get caught really fast anyways.

I always smoked my traps, wore hunter clothing and stayed about 5-10 steps away from the trap. I did fine.

ok thanks because I was hunting barb-tailed kebbits and i caught them almost everytime with no smoke or bait but with smoking I caught everytime but I dont't think its worth it but yes maybe for prickly kebbits

Well according to the hunter manual or w/e it greatly increases your chances of catching w/e your trying to catch. :roll:
