Player Mods

Seeing the Jagex Mod topic made me think about player mods. Is anyone around here a player mod? If yes, could you explain the process Jagex went through to pick you?

I would like to become a player mod and I have read the knowledge base about how to become one. I'm just curious how player mods get picked.

Well I'm not a Player Moderator myself, but I do know how they get picked. Basically, report any offenses you see (as long they they're legit), Offensive Language, Macroing, Item Scamming, etc. If you do this enough Jagex will start to take notice of you and you will possibly be chosen as a Player Moderator.

A few other things is you must not have any offenses against your account, whatsoever. Even .1 Black Marks will take you out of consideration. Also, help out other players. For example, if a player is asking you to show them where Taverly is, show them.

Basically be a nice, respectable person, follow the rules, and you'll have a very good chance.

How do I know if I have a black mark though? I believe I have done nothing wrong, but how could I find out if I have?

On the front page of the Runescape page, go down to "Appeal Offence/Ban"

Enter your username and password, and it will tell you how many Black Marks you have, if any.

No marks! That's good. Thanks for the help. I'll work hard to become a player mod. Thanks, again for all the help.
