Dust Staff?

I see a mud staff a lava staff but no dust staffs. How come?

Dust is Air and Earth If I remember right.

It's not likely to happen because it'd be "too easy" to train magic, earth blast/wave etc. Smoke and Mist are the same.

A more likely staff of the future would be steam, which is Fire and Water. Though currently there aren't any spells that I can think of, off the top of my head, which use both Fire and Water runes.

only spell i know of is teleport ape atoll. 2 laws, 2 fires and 2 waters (plus a banana ;] ) i think a steam staff woudl be handy. it covers a majority of teleports limiting it down to just laws and airs... varrock, falador, ardougne, ape atoll, plus it would be valuable in player killing. it provides halve of the runes for curses and freezing spells, and halve of the runes for the high damage fire spells. other than that though it seems like it wouldn't be all that usefull of a staff.

the dust staf would be awesome, but if jagex made it they woudl have to make it only count for earth runes when using combat spells, or be unuseable in combat

There won't be any staffs/staves (I'm not sure) that will give you an unlimited amount of combined runes that include an air runes. It would make magic training so easy.

I will agree with the steam staff coming next. However, I'm curious as to how it will look. Perhaps just a clear transparent orb or an actual transparent staff like the shadow sword?

I can see it coming out, but it would be easier to get then the mud staff, since its actual usage is perhaps less then the lava staff, which you can use to enchant level 6 jewelery with nothing but cosmic runes in the mage training arena.

If Jagex was to make another staff from there, my guess would be that it would have to be a mind staff. In my eyes, air runes are harder to get than mind runes (I have 10 000 mind runes, but onlt 400 air), so it won't make much of a difference.

But yeah. Dust staff ... they'd probably make a mist staff long before dust, and it would still be annoyingly hard to get (Take on 3 Tztok-Jads at once?).
