Attempted Scammers

is there a way to report people that try to trade scam (offer 1k of something then make it 100 in hoping you wont notice) because if you try to use the report form it says you can only report people you traded with. and theres no other thing on the form to file it under. any suggestions?

I' m not really sure, but I have reported some people for doing "Item Scamming" because when you report someone for that and you just put in a random name or you misspelled, it says "this person must have spoken or traded recently". So I think you can report someone for that.

then i must mispell their names alot because i always try to report them but i get that message. it happened again between the time i posted that and now i was trying to buy cowhides so that i can make alot of studded armor when i go members soon and he tried to take away the notes and i got it before i hit accept. scammers and macro'ers are just getting ridiculous now a days they are everywhere its insane

You can't report people who attempt to scam you because you can't exactly prove that you actually GOT scammed.

Not totally true. It records the last minute of gameplay. So you can see what you agreed to and see that they have scammed.

Jagex doesnt check out all the reports, but if tehy do seee it and you didn't abuse the report tehn they will send you a letter saying action was tooken against them

well you cant rele report them, if u trade full addy gold for 1000k and the switch it to 10005 there is nothing you can due to the fact the u trade um, that why they have a second trade screen.

yea i usually catch it on the second screen. but sometime i dont catch it because im already annoyed with having to buy something that i just want to get what i want and can go about my way now
