Which alternate skill for my pure?

Ok I made a new pure a week ago, it has 50 range but I want an alternate skill to go with it to make it hybrid. When I was at the duel arena a few days ago I noticed how fast I was dying because my defence level is 1 (duh). I was wondering if getting a high range level and a high defence level will be good. But I was also wondering about other hybrid skills. Please post what you think would go best with range (which I'm planning on getting up).

Adding str and att will not make its combat increase until you get the average of str and att=ur range.
Do mage/range/str and att.
Dont lvl up def.

Ranged + Defence is the way to go I think.

There are so much attack and strength pures. I would just train defense and range so that thell barely ever hit you and youll hit them because strength pures only have 1 dfense :lol:

from experience: 1def rangers own studdies.. =\
also, i'd go with melee if you don't mind getting a ton of hp. =)
it really won't raise your combat too much.
i still don't like mage / range.. never did. dhide kinda.. un-helps, if you will, your mage attack ratings..

Magic would probably be best because it grants the passive benefit of increased resistance to magical attacks without affecting your combat level.

Could work, but remember that underestimation is your sole advantage. Get your defence up only as high as you need for your desired armor type.

80 range
90 mage

AM then switch to mage short special. 1 hit KO

Ok, so im gonna do Range/Mage/Defence. Currently 7 defence (didn't train much). Its hard to train defence with no attack or strength cuz I'm constantly hitting 0's

You can get defence exp from ranged if you switch to long range, you know.

My friend has one right now he is lvl 22 with 22 ranged and defence and he owned lvl 28 pure str
