some people say they're pures or pure clans...what's the difference between pures and regular players/clans?

Pures are, accounts that are made to keep their combats low but to raise mage, attack, strength, def or any other combat skill they like. Basicly gives you an advantage over people the same combat as you, because you'll have a higher attack, ranger, mage, strength, or defense. You usually dont raise your prayer on a pure.

I've herd of range pures that raise their def and just range. Also iron pures, keep their def low and raise their attack and strength only. Mage, pure raise mage and def or attack usually. Defense pures, raise their def only maybe attack.

As far as clans go there are some pure clans that will have reqs. such as 90 mage and range or 80 attack and str, but only 5 defense.

how would pures work though? don't you need to gain combat levels after you gain attack or strength points?

The usefulness of a pure is inversely proportional to the wilderness level they're in. Just assume everyone's ready to kill you and you should be fine.

I don't like pures, well, the pker pures are fine, the others are a waste of server space.

Pures generally raise one, (or two), combat skills to be incredibly strong for their combat level. This is especially helpul for a player in duel arena, and pking.
