Best To Fish?

power fish at barbarian. almost as fast as shilo village. just get 1200 baits & fish non stop. You can also cut up the fish & turn them to baits.

I actually measured the exp you get from different methods. Average on 15 minutes (my fish lvl is 79):
Barbarian powerfishing (making caviar and rae on a spot and using them as bait) - 11490 exp, 0 gp
Salmon/Trout fly-fishing in Shilo (selling fish to the shop) - 10100 exp, 570 gp
Monkfish - 8880 exp, 29600 gp
Lobsters - 6390 exp, 17750 gp
Swordfish/Tuna without harpoon - 5580 exp + 558 str exp, 10850 gp
Swordfish/Tuna with harpoon - 5580 exp, 10850 gp
Rainbow fly-fishing in Shilo - 4400 exp, 5500 gp

So
1. Barbarian powerfishing is the BEST to get to 99.
2. Salmon/Trout are not far behind, but still behind, meaning there is no sense doing it now
3. Monkfish makes most money and gives good exp along the way. Meaning there is no sense in catching Sharks! Even for money! Combination of money/exp makes Monkfish a very good choice for getting to 99 as well.
4. People can throw away their harpoons, as you get the same amount of fish with bare hands plus some Strength exp.

Do not fish shark until your lvl 85+ fishing, in the time you got 4 levels in 3 days(which i highly doubt) you could have gotten 6-7 levels in shiloh.

Considering he's only 72 now, meaning that he got those levels from 68-72, or at a lower level. It's not that hard, especially if you don't have much to do in the summer :wink:

My personal suggestion would be monkfish, as they are the only fish worth doing. With Shilo, all of those fish are likely to go to waste...Even I don't use too many salmon :wink:

Other methods are slower, and won't give you as much exp. At least with monkfish you're getting Shark exp +10 exp, quickly mind you, as well as something worth selling.
