Best Route?

I have gotten enough willows for 80 fletch. What route should I take to get to 85? I am going to buy a dragon axe shortly after 80 fletch and cut my own yews. The question is, should I string them and alc them, or not string and sell on forum? Trying to go for the fastest xp, also while making a decent amount of cash.

Man.. Thats WILLOW.

Don't do that.

Just sell the unstrungs for 16gp each in General Store or drop them.

Then cut 1-2k Yews and pick 1-2K flax, and you're started for 85, 90, 99.

when you get the yew longs done, sell then buy more yews and flax and restart.

I got almost 80 craft and 18M fletching that way

I think you should follow what Sephiroth said. He is 99 fletching you know... But ya even then I think that Sephiroth is right and now that I realize when I become member again I'm gonna use this method.... :wink:

For the fastest expierience, string them an sell them on the forums. You'll also make a bit of profit.

lol i'm not that good...Ranked 624th in fletching.

You could also ask n0valyfe but I ain't sure if he'll give you an answer

Basically Yew Longs from 70-99. Buy yews and bowstrings, cut, string, sell.

Or you can do what Sephiroth said, pick/buy your own flax and spin (if you want crafting exp).

It's a good skill because you're aalways making profit.

If you get everything by yourself = String and Alch.
If you buy everything you get = Just Buy yew and flax, then make bows and sell.

Because if you buy everything and you alch, you won't make a really good profit:
1. Yews = 250-260ea (I think.. Didn't fletch for a month)
2. Flax (or BS)= 100-110/160-180ea
3. Nats= 320-330ea

Total = - If you buy flax= around 78-98gp profit per bow.
- If you buy BS= almost 0gp per bow.. maybe 20-30gp per bow.

Conclusion: Depends if you want to get XP or MONEY

Edit: But if you get everything by yourself, you'll get xp AND money

but it's going to take more time.

I was just considering getting the yews myself, as I would like woodcutting up as well. I think I may buy strings, and possibly may make nats myself if I get around to it. Thanks for all the help

actually, i'm pretty sure there is a flax running company which you can use to get k's of bowstrings an hour is you have flax, though no xp. Also, yew logs cost about 240 each.

So lets put the money this way:
240+330+100=670
So about 100 gp profit alching them, even though you bought everything. If you spend 6.7 mil on this, you make a 1.1mil pure profit, not even counting the huge xp.
