I am considering working very hard on combat, but before I get into it, is it all worth it in the end? Currently 87, and the way I train, could have my goal level of 100 in no time if I trained enough. So, is it worth it?

Thanks,

~Eric

yes because you will be stronger! but, IMHO non combat skills are more important, or a specific combat skill. Ex. 80 in all combat stats is ok, but id rather have 99 in one, and 70 in the others.

Yeah, I know non combat skill are more worth it, but I am really sick of being low leveled, so I may raise soon. Was just wondering if it was all worth it in the end.

Se I have your same question.. I want 100cb really bad, but I also like that if I want to pk, at my lvl and range lvl, I do pretty good. I think it would though, being higher cb lets you go to new creatures.

Depends if you'd prefer looking good with combat or with non-combat.

I'm trying to get 1500 total before getting 90 combat and 1600 total before 100 :P.

I try to always keep a good Combat/Total ratio.

Guess I will just go for it. I cant say I care what my other levels look like, but I am going to work on other skill levels while working on combat.

Good idea. Fish and cook your own food, pick and spin flax for cash, farm and mix your own potions. Personally, I would go for 1550 total before going for 100 combat, although training at the same time would be good too.

Also, an advantage of high combat is that people in Castlewars will truly feel fear. Don't go on free worlds though, probably all of World 1 will be begging for "Phr33 armor pl0x."

It helps out with monsters, but, if you don't fight stuff like the king black dragon and other high levels, and don't care about a pretty number, stay at 87. I would get 100, though.

Train your combat with Slayer...

You'll get a ''noncombat'' skill up and at 85 you'll become rich :p

Getting your slayer to 85 will get you awesome drops too from assignments

I think that you should set yourself goals for attack, strength, defence, magic, ranged, and prayer. There are multipule calculators out there, that you can use to see what your combat level will be after you have reacherd your goal. I would think higher combat would be better, less people call you n00bs xD, and you will have an easier time completing harder quests and killing difficult monsters.

Yes it is worth it, but you should plan to get all of your skills as high as you can.

No... No... No...

Combat isn't really worthwhile. I am 102, and I hardly ever kill. The Majority of the time it is for an ingredient, zogre bones or misc items like flippers..
