Barrows without prayer.

Back a while ago I taped one barrow run I had without prayer potions.

Finally got the time to settle down and edit it to be a tutorial of some sort.

You siad without prayer you use prayer for some of the brothers. Very nice vidoe, I will start doing what you did for barrows.

Alternatively you could mage Karil, but it won't work as good though.

That account was my friend's which he "gave" me and I transferred over my stuff, got hacked by himself a few days after. Hope that will clear any doubts on why the player name wasn't really me.

His stats was 70 prayer, 83 range, 85 mage. But what you actually need is simply 52 prayer(Should last long enough for Dharok and Karil) I say at lesat 70 range for black dhide, great protection as I said on the video. You'll be dishing out 11s with rune arrows at 70 so no worries. Mage, I could do it with 64 magic on Kebbit, all you need is simply slayer dart spell.

Good luck for those who wish to use it as a guide.

Note that I have a 2 dose prayer pot in the inventory. Although I don't actually need prayer pots, I use it in case Dharok is in the tunnel, or if Karil finished up my food. It happens...

but why slayer dart? i see so many people using it, whats so special about it?
I just use iban blast... its about the same cost in terms of runes, and has 6 more damage at its max hit... i dont mean to diss, but i can get through barrows just aa fast or faster by going in full mystic,iban staff, unholy book, and glory amulet. theres a nice little snaring loop i use so i dont have to sit there and beat them up up close wearing magic hindering armour.

just fight karil first with protect form ranged, and then dhaorok up close as well with protect melee, then use the snare lock i mention in (link to come) on guthan torag and verac, and switch out to a whip or dds to fight against ahrim. the high mage defense of mystic robes keeps ahrim from realy hurting you...

Slayer dart because the armor doesn't affect the spell.
As for the Iban's Blast I'm not sure if it also has the same type of effect like Slayer Dart.

With slayer dart, you can wear armor and mage and your accuracy won't be changed. And with Iban Blast, you only have a certain number or charges.

Iban blast requires lots of clicking, so if you get hit a 20, you must quickly switch to your inventory and eat a fish, you'll probably need sharks or better because you're bound to get hit twice.

Also, you will make less profit because snares/tangles require natures, you'll be spending over 1k~ per cast. Besides, if you simply wear armor and Slayer Dart, you'll be hitting more constantly and it's less expensive.

It's less time consuming with Slayer Dart because you don't have to stop casting every few blasts to re-tangle him. Besides, you don't have to go back to Ardougne and through the long-winded Underground Pass just so you can recharge your Iban every couple of runs. AFAIK Iban only lasts about 100 spells per charge, that's like 2-4 runs.

The video I took was 10 minutes unedited, if you want to know how long an average run is.

Also note that the damage from Slayer Dart depends on your mage level. If you're 60, your max will be 16, if 70 max 17, 80 max 18, you get it.

Karil shouldn't be your priority, because your prayer will run out halfway at the second brother if you have 50-60 prayer. Dharok should always be the first because you would be totally sure that you'll be safe because no fear of prayer running out.

Ahrim has higher melee defense than ranged, and also range gear gives you better magic defence. The rapid arrows would annihilate Ahrim really fast, like in the video, the fight didn't last long enough for me to pull a second special, and melee gear should be used for Karil instead, like in the video, although I was getting 20s constantly, I still was able to kill Karil because of constant high hits from dds specs.

I may or may not go into detail about the profits(per hour if you count average run duration) lost if you choose the Iban+Tangle combo. Depends really if you want me to.

hehe, actually, karil is pathetic. he dies in 9 casts just like the other 4 brothers. only reason i pray is because he can still hit me if i snare and run away. and the point behind my stratagie, is that you don't get hit. so instead of getting hit for 20 and eating a 1kgp shark, you dont get hit, and waste a 1kgp 3nature runes. yeah sharks have gone down a lot, only 650gp on world 2, but all the same, the more food i have for the end tunnel, the happier i am. lol, if you really want to compare who's method is best, which in the end doesn't matter, we can race eachother, and count up how much both of us have to start and what we have used by the end. =P as long as i dont meet my 6th brother in the same chamber as the puzzle door, i expect i can match you. (admits i might be acting a little cocky)
