Well, since this topic is going into religion anyway...

Really? So the fact he bribes you with going to heaven as opposed to hell isn't a form of persuasion and control? It's a temptation and a minor, small form of control.
I reckon that hell was 'created' by priests. Just as the song implies. "God" gave humans free will, if he or she wanted to control us they wouldn't have given us that.

Your one huge slip up. You realize being jewish, christian or even muslim isn't that diffrent? They are ALL branches off the same religion.
That's quite possibly true. I believe most religions used to be one. They share the same views, only certain people have interpreted them differently and so different religions were created.
The problem is, no-one can say what -is- right. All I try to do is carry on through my life as a "good" person. However good is interpreted in different ways, just as religion.

He gives you the choice. If you dont want to believe that his son dies for you to go to heaven, well theres hell. If thats where you truly want to go, Then I guess Ill be at the throneroom of judgement day to see you go.
"God" gave humans free will. From that alone I can say that He/She doesn't truely care about what we believe. If they did, wouldn't they have made sure everyone believes?
I don't believe in Hell myself, or heaven. But an afterlife for the good, or re-incarnation for the bad, so that the bad have a chance to "redeem" themselves, in a way.

*stuff about miracles*
Miracles are named miracles because there is no explanation other than believing that a greater force has affected the outcome in some way.
I 'm not sure what i think about miracles. I want them to stay a mystery, otherwise everyone will be praying for a miracle and they will become "meaningless".
