It's one thing playing the game occasionally with your friends maybe, but traveling thousands of miles to take part in competitions with kids is a little different. I think what Steven means is that taking a childhood obsession to that level is a bit over the top.

Look, if the guy enjoys playing Pokemon and traveling all around the world to play the game with his dad.. I don't see what the problem is. Obsession of the game? I doubt it. Just has love for the game. That's all.

traveling around America* I don't think theirs enough demand from the outside world for this to happen anywhere else. XD Perhaps japan i suppose.

One of my good friends has a mom who PWNS at Yu-Gi-Oh.
That is really cool. He seems like the kinda guy who would need some self-esteem boost and get it through this. If he has a beedril deck, why does he have a luxray?

if this is the luxray im thinking about this is why
luxray is to kill the lvl x quicker
luxray pokepower makes it where it does 50+ extra damage for each lvl x in play
so basically just to kill faster
