I suppose I can talk about this here, seeing as it's all about pictures

Anyway, there is a site in beta known as TinEye that allows users to search where pictures are on the internet. For example, if I search for Shane's last desktop picture

(found on his blog) I can find where he got the picture.

This is just one of the pictures it finds, and wouldn't you know it? It's the same (minus the actual desktop look

)

I've looked for a few other pictures from around here, such as my avatar, and it found

this non-animated still, from the same game!

You have to sign up, as they're currently in beta, but I only had to wait a few hours for an email to pop up inviting me to join.

Anyway, check it out, and see what you can find!

Ingenious! This could also be useful when checking for plagiarizers.

I simply have to agree on this! This would be beneficial for proof on rip cases!
Usually when I see somebody rip\plagia someone's work I remember the IMAGE but not where I saw it!

I've been accepted, but the images I was using didn't show up very much. Does the images of other people have to be uploaded in order to see them?

No, but there must be some site that TinEye has indexed, or has set up to use their technology. Not sure what sites they've got now, but they say they've got around 400,000,000 pictures now, and are increasing the number daily.

That is good for detecting plagiarized images, also I'd its good steal other peoples wallpaper.
