I was recently downlaoding combat arms. I was 90% done with installation and then an error message cam up saying that i don't have enough space left. So i stoped installing it and i go back to check how much memory i have and it said i have 100 MB. Why did this happen even though i stopped instaling it?

Thanks,
Chris4Life

It could have partially installed, then abandoned what it was doing when it saw you were too close to having a full hdd. If your hdd is full, you're going to want to start clearing it out or thinking about upgrading. There are too many things that you need a bit of space for, you're not going to want to have that little amount left.

most games will pick up installing where they left off. or you can just uninstall that half. then go into install/uninstall programs and delete anything you dont play anymore. then defrag and try again.

you could also upgrade your hd space like others have said since it seems like you need more. isnt too hard to do that really if you dont mind going into your tower or haveing someone else do it

oftopic: wow only 100 mb's left? lol ive always had 25% or more hd space :P

It's HDD space, not memory. Memory is RAM, though in any case I understand what you're talking about ;). No there isn't necessarily a way to clean out half of the memory, though if you can't be bothered with upgrading your hard drive, start the tedious task of uninstalling select programs and deleting any data you no longer need.

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove programs that you don't need anymore, preferably ones that have large install sizes. If you don't need any of the videos, install files, or anything else on your computer, you can delete those. I

nevitably, you'll need to upgrade your harddrive. It is not a hard process, and if you're coming to the point where you have less than 1gb left on your drive, it would be a worthwhile investment. You can't continue to operate with that little space left, the opterating system will need more space.
