Well, I have started to notice some issues with RuneScape. Before, I could always play on high detail, 4x anti aliasing, basically the new graphics with everything on the highest settings. In recent times I haven't even been able to run the game at all, it shows me the blue screen within a few minutes of starting.

My graphics card is a nvidia geforce 7600 GT and I just updated the drivers from the website to see if that would solve my problem. Unfortunately, it hasn't. I have yet to try low detail but if it's possible I'd like to continue on high detail.

The operating system is Microsoft XP Windows Professional, and I have 3070MB of RAM so I don't think that's a problem.

Bleh :?
Try not using the anti-aliasing, that may be the problem. If not then something in your PC doesn't want to work with high-detail. :( Can't think straight since it's 2 am here lol, but try all the usual things like virus scanning and de-frag (even though they probably aren't the culprits)

You should try low detail and check to see if its high-detail specifically, that your PC doesn't like, or just runescape/java programs in general before finding how to solve it. I would say... that... you need to look for odd signs in your computer too, things that are happening but shouldn't happen (physically mainly).

If it means anything, today YouTube stopped working by itself (it plays for 2 seconds, then refuses to continue playing. The progress bar still loads and I can drag it around but it won't move normally) and it won't play any sound.

I'm starting a virus scan right now, but I'm not that hopeful that it will find whatever's causing this.

Edit: Appears Pandora's dead too, no sound works there either.

And eedddit: Youtube and Pandora are back, Avast has found 2 trojans.

Trojans probably wouldn't just randomly cause you to BSOD only during a few certain things, but I hope getting rid of them helps.

Since you've updated your drivers for your graphics card, I don't see the software part of your graphics card being the problem. The hardware itself could be faulty, but if it were you'd probably get some other errors while doing something else.

Which version of Windows are you using? How powerful is your processor? Any information of new installs would also be useful.

Also, were you able to previously use RS HD, or has this only started since trying RS HD?

The issues with YouTube I have had in the past, something to do with the Flash player. Think restarting the computer usually fixes that.
