They purposely block my transfer speed on P2P's to 30kps... they do that to many other people too...

It ***** me off that you pay $50 a month to get unlimited bandwidth transfer and 7.0Mbit transfer speed and get this.. I mean, if I downloaded 24/7 it'd add up to like 75-80Gb..

My question is: Do you guys know a way to counteract their block? Maybe something that could crypt or whatever?

Ty.

I'll phone them soon and if this problem can't be solved i'm switching ISP. I hate them so much lol...

If you really have no other way to fight against your ISP, you can always get your "content" ;) ;) ;) from RapidShare. Just open up a RapidShare Pro account and they give you a very generous allotment of bandwidth for your needs. It has a monthly charge to it, but believe me, it's better than torrenting and it's not throttled.

Rapid-FAIL is horrible, especially after that "cat" CAPTCHA thing.

If you're using utorrent, just enable encryption. If that doesn't work, either put up with rapidshare or get a new ISP.

Is it easy to find everything you need on RapidShare? :\

I found another ISP that offers the same things for the same price, maybe without the limit though. I'll find more info and if they're worth it I'll break my contract with my current ISP (I don,t care losing $100) and go with that one.

I'm interested with RapidShare if it can guarantee me i'll find what I need.

Edit: I use utorrent. I'll try encryption for tonight and see what happens.

There is no search function at Rapidshare. It is impossible to get any files from there without someone giving their link to a file.

I actually find tons of stuff on RapidShare. It really depends though. I find a lot of films, shows, and music..but not so much in the way programmes.

Cliff, you can remedy that by typing in "____ rapidshare" into Google. And I do believe that there are 3rd party sites that have Rapidshare search engines.

Sadly this is a common practice among a lot of ISP and they don't have to tell you that there doing it either - not really a way to counter it but a lot of them tend to slow it down and speed it back up depending on peak times and such.

Use some sort of packet encryption software... That should help... If that doesn't work switch your ISP...
