Trouble signing into Windows Live Messenger

I turned my computer on today and tried to sign in to Windows Live Messenger, but this came up.

I thought it was just normal, so I clicked the Troubleshoot button and left it to search, but for some reason, it came up positive.

Now I'm kinda stuck. I'd messed around with my Firewall, uninstalled and re-installed Messenger and rebooted my PC several times, but nothings working. I can sign into Hotmail but not the Messenger client. Can anybody help?

First, your screen shots are too big, you should use a thumbnail or a link.

I'm guessing that WLM worked on your computer before this incident?
Is this computer shared (with or without accounts) or is this computer yours?
Have you installed a new software firewall recently (before this problem)?
Has a new hardware firewall (or router) been installed on your network?

Sometimes I get a problem similar to this as well, it usually fixes itself eventually.

I had this exact problem yesterday. It worked fine after a while.

OK I've solved my problem now. There was a system update and my pc wasn't updating when I rebooted my pc.

Lock please.
