Cannot save in WordPerfect!

So I installed WordPerfect 13 I believe on my laptop the other day and when I clicked save, it opened a folder called "Perfect Fit Document Management". I entered the name that my file was to be called, and clicked save. This screen popped up.

Now, as much as I'd hate having a password protected text document, I typed in a password. Then I received this message.

So I thought I'd give it another shot. This time, I chose a new folder to save my document in, and when I clicked save, nothing happened. I can click it all I want and nothing whatsoever will happen. I thought it was the program, so I ended up uninstalling it and installing WordPerfect 11, a program I am used to using. However, the exact same thing is happening with this program. All I want to do is write in WordPerfect and be able to save my documents. I've never had this problem before, so I'm assuming it is something to do with Vista or just my laptop in general. I am able to save documents if they are written in Wordpad, but I really find WordPerfect easier to use.

Any help would be great.

1. Why aren't you using Word?

2. The best I can think of is that neither version is Vista compliant, or something is thinking that you need to encrypt all of your documents and then not actually performing correctly.

I don't know anything about wordperfect but it does sound like it isn't vista compatible, try OpenOffice and use writer, see if that works it is vista compatible.

Word Perfect is a piece of poo I can't sugar coat it any better... I never saw your problem I would say clean the whole thing out deinstal it all remove it's remains restart computer then start a new. If that fails invest in Word. It's Microsoft but it works...
