Virus/spyware problem

I came back to my computer to find that like 3 new programs claiming to be anti viruses/spyware were installed by themselves, the wallpaper changed to a link to another one, and now a popup comes up every 5 minutes or so telling me to 'use this to clean your system'.

Right now I am running all my true antiviruses/spywares in an attempt to fix the problem.

Do you guys have any other advice?

Get Spybot Search and Destroy and search your computer.
That should do it :D

That is good for spy ware, but for viruses do a scan from Housecall.

Well, I found out my brother accepted something today that he thought was our antivirus (he doesn't know much about the computer). So I reset it to yesterday morning, and it is fine now 8)

Oh and rooste, I already have Spybot Search and Destroy. :wink: It didn't solve it, and neither did AVG or Ad-Aware SE. Hooray for system restore! :D


Problem solved. This can be closed now.
