The printscreen action will not work on my computer. I've tried several different hot keys, so the PrtScr button isn't broken if that's what you were thinking. I even downloaded a screen capture program and changed the settings several times for alternatives, and yet it seems to still not work. Do you have any idea what the problem is? I'm am clueless and I don't think I'll ever find out. I might have to just buy a new keyboard...

So you have tried third party programs, and they CAN'T capture your screen?
-> Your running XP?
-> What graphics card are you using? -> If NVidia, download and install latest drivers. (If your running beta drivers, that might be your problem)
-> Is your computer a prebuilt (ie you bought from dell and haven't changed anything?)

Need more info to help ...

Have you tried FRAPS? / What screen capture program did you try out?

I don't know if you have done this, but for the image to appear anywhere you have to paste the image in paint.

Press PrtScr and then go to Paint and go to edit -> paste.

Which is probably what you did anyway so I haven't been any help at all. :P

It doesn't work while Window Media Player is open BECAUSE when it's open your graphics card uses hardware acceseration, make the movie look better but you can't take screen shots (which is also good for movie makers you can't rip images from them)

I found out that it's my keyboard. Brand new wireless; useless.. I tried another wired keyboard and it works fine, with and without windows media player on. But for now, I use my on-screen keyboard to take a screenshot. Thank you all for your solutions and trying to help.
