You should probably just delete that file and try installing it again.

This is happening because the file is open in another program. Are there any programs open trying to install that file still?

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode and then deleting it? Or deleting it from the Command Prompt?

um can u move it to the desktop?
if you can do it then go to start run regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mi crosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\
Go down down the NameSpace list and located the value which display battlefield 2.Delete this folder and it will be gone.
Someone told me to this for a Network Magic Folder when it was not deleting so maybe it will work for you as it did for me.

Doesn't Vista have some sort of User Rights thing or whatever?

I always hear about it, and how annoying it is.

Vista has UAC, but it wouldn't be affecting him at all. If it did, a popup would come up and ask if he wanted to remove the folder, and then allow him to do so.

If you haven't tried yet, right click on the folder, and go to Properties. Click on Security, click edit, and find your account. Give yourself administrative privileges over the folder by clicking 'Full Allow'. Try deleting.

If that does not help, go back to the Security tab, and click Advanced. Click Owner, and edit the owner to your administrator account. Try deleting again.

Alright so i have it figured out. When i got my laptop from the geek squad they made my account an Administrator but not the owner of the C: Drive. So how do i take ownership.

Posted that in my previous reply:
Right click on the drive, go to properties => security. Find your account, and give it 'full control' over everything. To literally change the owner, Security => Advanced => owner, and change the account to your main administrator account.
