Sound Card

The sound card is used to record audio? Right?

My microphone doesn't work and I think I know why. Apparently I don't have a sound card. Now, I guess it don't have one that records, anyone know if this is true?

Yeah, I have the same problem. The integrated sound ports on my motherboard are toasted, which doesn't allow me to use speakers or a microphone, so I have to buy a new sound card. To record sound, you'll need a certain program to do that I think.

Ehm, I think your mic is just muted, you should finde a mixer somewhere in start>programs
